Perspectives on the Asylum

This section will be open to historical interpretation and individual perspectives.  The above photos show the same building.  Some may see this building and immediately feel a sense of dread.  Others may see a place of beauty.  We all come from unique backgrounds and the same historic events may be interpreted in vastly different ways.  For example, those with family in the old asylum cemetery view that cemetery from a more emotional and different standpoint than those who do not.

It seems everything about the history of this controversial asylum and cemetery can be viewed in many ways by many people.

If you have a unique perspective about the history of the events at the asylum or cemetery you would like to have posted on this site, please submit it to mifieldni@yahoo.com for consideration.
