About Us

Special Collections, University of Nevada-Reno Library
The above photo was taken in 1889 by J.H. Crockwell.  It is photo number UNRS-P436-91 in the Special Collections of the University of Nevada-Reno Library.

This photo was enlarged by Carolyn Mirich, who discovered the photos of the people looking out.

Take a very close look at the windows on the second floor on the front of the building, the third and fourth windows from the left.  On the third window that is open, there is a woman's face you can clearly see in the lower right window pane.  The fourth window has a person wearing white.

Click on the images to the right to enlarge the windows.
